Business Development Manager, South East Asia

Job description
The role of the Business Development Manager exists to lead the identification, development, marketing and achievement of profitable new business across the Quintiq South-East Asia business unit. His/her prime responsibility would be in generating leads, establishing proposals and developing high quality presentations in relation to client value propositions. The role is responsible for fostering new and existing customer relationships, for researching and compiling accurate information on competitor activities and for collaborating with senior Group and Quintiq South-East Asia management to conceive and implement business growth strategy. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the complete sales cycle and is directly responsible for a defined revenue target.

The ideal candidate is a true business developer, who possesses excellent sales skills and has a strong ability to maintain and extend a network of contacts. He/She would either personally or by instruction (i.e. oversee) have new and organic business growth opportunities identified, analysed, costed, verified, submitted, presented and negotiated with target clients.
This position is based in Quintiq’s Regional Office for South East Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Job requirements
• Experience in complex sales cycles. E.g. selling large scale ERP/SCM solutions to multinationals as well as upper mid-market enterprises;
• Successful background in business development in large and/or mid-enterprise organizations;
• Industry knowledge in either Logistics, Aviation or Process Industry would be a significant advantage;
• Excellent presentation, lead qualification and client relationship skills;
• A good command of the English language is required;
• Highly self motivated, team player, persistent and an excellent communicator;
• Willing to travel.
