The Quintiq Story
In September 1997 five computer programmers began work on a custom-made scheduling application for one of the world’s largest aluminum hot mill operators. Their mission was to develop planning & optimization software that could be configured to suit any business model. The unique and sophisticated algorithms they created were pivotal in Quintiq’s success, as were the vision and direction provided by Victor Allis CEO (who was also one of those five programmers) and Arjen Heeres COO.
Since then Quintiq has grown from a group of five programmers in a small office in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, to a company with hundreds of employees in offices around the world. Find out more about Quintiq’s locations worldwide.
Quintiq has been profitable every year since 1997, and is now known as an industry leader in supply chain planning & optimization. Today, numerous global organizations use Quintiq on a daily basis to solve their complex planning and scheduling puzzles.
In 2011, Philadelphia-area private equity firms LLR Partners and NewSpring Capital made a significant investment in Quintiq.
