Edward Blechschmidt

Ed Blechschmidt became a member of the Quintiq board of directors in November 2011. He is the former CEO of Novelis Inc., one of the world’s largest aluminum companies and a long-standing Quintiq customer and the former CFO of Unisys Corporation. Ed has over thirty years’ experience in diverse industries including manufacturing, health & pharmaceuticals, technology and business services. He has a strong background in finance and technology, in addition to fifteen years’ experience in executive leadership. Ed has a proven track record in improving financial performance and enhancing shareholder value.

Career Highlights:

• Ed has served in several senior sales and marketing leadership roles in the IT industry, including Fortune 500 companies Siemens and Unisys.
• Ed chaired Unisys's worldwide corporate quality council and was a member of the ethics committee.
• His extensive financial and accounting expertise has entitled him to the role of audit committee chairman of eight companies in the last decade.
• Ed is also a director of Lionbridge Technologies Inc. (business services), Diamond Foods Inc (snack foods), Columbia Laboratories (pharmaceuticals) and VWR International LLC. (laboratory supplies), and served as a director of HealthSouth Corp. (healthcare) for ten years.

Education:

Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
