Quintiq was founded in the Netherlands in 1997. The first office was opened in 1999 at the Van Gobbendonklaan in 's-Hertogenbosch. This historic town was the natural choice of location, based on the where the founders were living at the time. Victor Allis, who lived in Roermond, vetoed any location north of 's-Hertogenbosch. Seppo Pieterse, who lived in Amstelveen, vetoed any location south of 's-Hertogenbosch. So the choice was 's-Hertogenbosch, and we’re still here more than a decade later, although we’ve outgrown several offices in that time. We are now located on the Bruistensingel, 's-Hertogenbosch.

Since its establishment, the headquarters of Quintiq has grown from just four employees in 1999 to more than 150 employees in 2011. In addition, we have continued to expand by opening new offices in the U.S., Australia, China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. 's-Hertogenbosch is home to COO Arjen Heeres, with a focus on Logistics, Workforce and Metals & Manufacturing in Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East. In addition, marketing, human resources management and R&D are based here. It’s in 's-Hertogenbosch that we develop the latest versions of our software, create industry-specific software solutions, and map the strategic and tactical path that Quintiq will follow in the coming years.
