The belief that anchors Sara Gifford’s mission as Quintiq chief solutions officer is clear: “Products within Quintiq is the path to the future”. As CSO, Sara drives continuous improvement and innovations in the company’s products strategy with the aim to accelerate time-to-value for Quintiq customers and business partners around the world. As head of the 65-person Quintiq products team, she collaborates with research & development as well as global business units to build products that are business-focused and demand-driven. Her areas of focus include increasing efficiency in implementation and increasing the value of Quintiq optimization through data-driven configuration.

Career Highlights

Sara is known for her great passion, business acumen and transparent leadership style ― traits that have charted her path in Quintiq since she joined as Quintiq specialist in 2006. She took on the role of business consultant in 2007 and was promoted to director of business unit North America in 2010. Over the next five years, Sara led her team in large-scale implementations for some of the company’s biggest customers such as Southwest Airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). During this time, she was responsible for all presales support for the sales organization and solution delivery for the consulting organization in North America. Business unit North America’s annual revenue grew 15-fold and staff strength increased from five to over 100 people. In 2015, Sara was appointed vice president of what was, by then, the most profitable region in Quintiq. She was appointed to the Quintiq board in January 2016.

She is based in the Quintiq American headquarters in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Education

Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Bucknell University and a master’s degree in software engineering from American University.
