Perhaps it’s the French education system, but I enjoy discovering common models that underlie seemingly diverse problems, and applying science and mathematics in very practical ways. After studying engineering at one of the Grandes Ecoles and completing a PhD in Operations Research, I helped develop CAD software that was used to design cars and airplanes. I love visiting manufacturing plants and art galleries. I’m fascinated by manufacturing processes, art, philosophy and science.
