Quintiq is looking for smart professionals with a passion for creating advanced planning and scheduling (APS) solutions. In this role you work with our customers to translate their requirements into great planning systems that give them the support they need. Understanding the customer’s planning puzzle and being able to develop a vision on how to best solve this puzzle are essential to excel in your job. The result of your work is used to plan, schedule, and optimize large workforces and public transportation operations.

Our team has the home base in the Netherlands. From that location we serve all our European customers. Therefore in your role you get the opportunity to work with many interesting companies and see locations all over Europe.

Job Requirements

· HBO+/academic level in computer science, econometrics, artificial intelligence or similar

· High abstraction level and analytic ability

· Strong communication skills, especially in an environment of top professionals

· Energetic and flexible personality who can get work done

· Experience in consulting and/or advanced planning and scheduling software implementation

· Knowledge of optimization techniques in operations research and artificial intelligence (linear programming, genetic algorithms, heuristic search techniques, constraint programming, etc.)

· Experience with object-oriented modeling (UML), 3GLs (Java, C++, Delphi, Smalltalk, Eiffel) or 4GLs (G2, Aion, etc.) is a plus
