What to Expect – the Recruitment Process

Deciding to work together is not only about having the right qualifications and offering the right benefits. It is also about sharing passions and future plans.

At Quintiq, the recruitment process is organized to enable you and Quintiq to share ideas about work, the future and our passions. To enable us to determine whether we are a good fit for each other.

Step 1 – Introductory meeting
Let’s get to know each other. We will explain where Quintiq comes from, where we are today and where we are going in the future. We also want to understand what really drives you, what makes you happy, what will give you the feeling that you are really contributing. At this stage, we will review your professional background, focusing on your education, work experience, areas of expertise and past accomplishments. We will also describe the open position, including key responsibilities and likely opportunities for change and growth. Our goal: to be sure your capabilities fully match the demands of the job and that you and Quintiq are a good match for each other.

Step 2 – Follow-up interviews
In follow-up interviews we will look further into the specific details of a job description and how your background matches these. You will meet additional Quintiq people and future colleagues. This step enables us to get to know you better and can provide you with a deeper understanding of what it will be like to work at Quintiq. In some cases, where we have covered everything sufficiently in step 1, a candidate may proceed directly to step 3.

Step 3– Practical Test
Every candidate has the opportunity to show us what you can do, through a practical test. Depending on the position you are applying for, the test can vary from working at our reception desk for an hour (reception/administration/PA candidates), processing a purchase order (accounting/bookkeeping), writing a customer letter (marketing), solving planning puzzles using the Quintiq software(consultant), to reviewing complicated C++/Java code with our software architects (R&D). These tests are conducted internally by your potential future Quintiq colleagues, without involving external organizations.

The test makes the difference between talking and real-life proof. It allows you to show how good you are at what you do, instead of merely telling great stories about your past experience. And, you’ll get confirmation that working with Quintiq is all about having fun while solving the most complex planning puzzles; working in a team of intelligent colleagues who feel as passionate about their jobs as you do.
