DB Schenker Rail Scandinavia is the largest rail transport company in Denmark. The company is part of the DB Schenker Group – the No. 1 of international rail freight transport.

Project Scope

Using Quintiq, DB Schenker Rail Scandinavia is able to have an integrated planning of all locomotives and locomotive drivers, that allows to plan either with anonymous shift numbers or with actual locomotives and drivers. Whether a planning solution is possible is a very complicated process, because there are many constraints: e.g. not all driver/train combinations are possible, as drivers have different qualifications and route authorization.

The reason DB Schenker Rail Scandinavia has chosen Quintiq is because of the very positive experiences at DB Schenker Rail Deutschland and DB Schenker Rail Nederland.
