Groupe Eurotunnel manages the infrastructure of the Channel Tunnel and operates the accompanying truck shuttle and passenger shuttle (car and coach) services between Folkestone, UK and Calais, France. This unique land crossing has become a vital link between the continent and the United Kingdom.

The Quintiq single planning software platform has been selected by Eurotunnel’s team of 18 planners to quickly create accurate maintenance schedules and streamline maintenance operations from both sides of the channel. It will enable them to improve workforce scheduling and the sharing of maintenance resources.

The Quintiq solution will take into account all of the company’s planning constraints and resources capacities to improve visibility on short-term and mid-term cross-border operations. Quintiq will be used to better manage the tunnel’s increasing traffic towards achieving greater long-term profits.

Eurotunnel will be able to make preventative maintenance decisions up to three years in advance as well as swiftly respond to any disruptions on the day of operations. It will also aid the company to better balance maintenance requirements with its services, and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
