Steel producer and solution provider Ruukki extends contract with Quintiq for Advanced Planning and Scheduling Software to be implemented for all service centers
Finnish steel manufacturer and steel solution provider Ruukki has extended its contract with Quintiq for delivering a state-of-the-art planning solution to its service centers. Ruukki earlier selected the Quintiq scheduling solution for its steel production plant. Now Ruukki has also chosen the Quintiq Company Planner for its service centers. In these centers Ruukki provides a variety of services and products, based on specific customer orders.

Ruukki's main goal of implementing Company Planner is to complement SAP with an accurate Available to Promise (ATP) capability. The Quintiq Company Planner will enable Ruukki to better manage customer satisfaction and retention.

The Quintiq solution will be fully integrated into the SAP ERP solution that Ruukki has also selected for its service centers. Both solutions are expected to be fully operational by April 2006.
