May 21, 2007 | 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands
Printed fabric producer Vlisco in Helmond has selected the Quintiq planning software as the basis for optimizing its production processes and increasing its delivery reliability. Vlisco manufactures 'wax print' and 'Java print' fabrics. The company focuses on the West-African market, where this colourful textile is mainly worn by women. Vlisco, which is part of the listed Gamma Holding, is market leader in Africa.

Vlisco wants to optimize its production processes in order to maintain its market leading position. By deploying the Quintiq Advanced Planning & Scheduling Suite, Vlisco can use its production capacity more efficiently. In addition the company can respond more flexibly to changing market demands.

Vlisco selected Quintiq after an extensive selection process because the Quintiq solution provided the most flexibility. The Quintiq planning approach also seamlessly matched Vlisco's own approach. The Quintiq software is easily adaptable to the client's specific needs and requirements. In addition Quintiq has wide experience in the manufacturing sector. This applies especially to the metal sector in which the raw material has to undergo various process steps and then diverges into different end products. This also happens at Vlisco.

Quintiq has started the implementation together with partner Capgemini. The software is expected to go live at the end of 2007.

Quintiq provides advanced planning, scheduling and supply chain management solutions. The fast-growing Dutch company, established in 1997, offers software for planning and optimizing complex business processes throughout the enterprise. Deloitte has recognized Quintiq as being one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe, and industry analyst Gartner has acknowledged Quintiq for its innovative products and market presence. The company has its head office in the Netherlands and further subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, Malaysia, China and the USA. For more information:
