"As Wim has tremendous experience in the field of optimization — through his 17 years at ILOG and IBM as well as his professorship in Intelligent Information Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology — we are convinced that he is the right fit for the new role. Wim joins Quintiq with a very clear goal in mind: to make sure we keep our worldwide number one position in optimization in Advanced Planning and Scheduling software," said Quintiq CEO Dr. Victor Allis.
When asked about joining Quintiq and the highlights of his new role, Wim responded, "I have always strived for the best and, with the knowledge that Quintiq is filled with smart, open minded, hardworking people, I am certain that we can drive the improvement of Quintiq's optimization capabilities and preserve Quintiq’s premier APS company position. Quintiq is focused on Advanced Planning and Scheduling software, which is precisely what I have been doing throughout my career. Besides that, I also felt that there was a perfect fit for me at Quintiq in terms of culture and atmosphere."
Wim's first achievement will be to define an Optimization Business Plan describing the path forward for Quintiq for the coming five years.
