Quintiq and TBA enter into a partnership to capitalize on container terminal market knowledge

Quintiq and TBA have today announced that they have entered into a partnership agreement to combine their software and service offerings to the container terminal market across the globe.
The capability that Quintiq brings to the market to optimize the container terminal planning along with the knowledge and expertise of TBA in this market creates an unprecedented advantage for customers in the container terminal market. This will further increase the productivity of container terminal players.
The Quintiq technology supports integrated terminal wide planning of different resources. Quintiq is able to plan berth’s, crane’s, the yard the workforce etc. in parallel taking all relevant characteristics and capacities of equipment and each employee’s expertise and certification for equipment, such as cranes, contractual obligations and union regulations.
Quintiq helps to increase container terminal utilization by optimizing the usage of capital-intensive handling equipment, minimizing unproductive moves and waiting time. All this, while respecting all constraints, priorities, service levels, last-minute changes and unique business rules.
