DutchView chooses Quintiq for planning and roster scheduling

('s-Hertogenbosch, July 10th 2002) Today DutchView, one of the largest Audio & Video facility companies in Europe, and Quintiq announce that they have signed an agreement for the delivery of planning en rostering software. Goal of the implementation is to further improve the utilization rate of employees, materials and means, which are being brought into action at various TV productions, reducing the costs. Well-known Dutch national TV programs are being provided with the services of DutchView such as drama, cultural, news and entertainment productions.

Without the help of Quintiq it became practically impossible for DutchView to combine the personnel, materials (like movie camera's, mobile broadcast systems and studio's) and means in an efficient way and get a clear picture of all the consequences of changes (like running over time, postponement or a new order).

The Quintiq solution will take the various constraints and logic of the business process into account and simultaneously reach the most optimal combination of people, means and productions. The system takes into account the various skills of employees, employment terms, overtime, illness, availability and utilization of personnel and freelancers as well as specific wishes of customers.

The implementation will be carried out in cooperation with KPMG Consultants. KPMG is a leading company in the area of planning & simulation solutions.
