Home Care Rotterdam selects Quintiq planning software

Quintiq successful in home care sector with third contract

's-Hertogenbosch, October 10, 2005 – Home Care Rotterdam will deploy Quintiq planning software for planning its 2,400 staff. In this way the health care organization wants to further improve its customer service, as well as its efficiency. Home Care Rotterdam is the third home care organization – after Vivent Home Care in Den Bosch and Icare – to choose Quintiq in order to optimize their quality of service.

When planning home care employees, a lot of variables play a role: a regularly changing demand for care, a great deal of employees with different competencies and contracts, and legislation and union agreements. All these variables influence the planning of workers. With the Quintiq planning software, an organization can take all these variables into account when making a workforce plan. The built-in intelligence not only takes into account all the variables, but also calculates the consequences of any disturbance in the planning. This ensures optimal flexibility of the complex planning process.

“It is our objective to fully support our planners with Quintiq software. Right now planning is done in many different ways, leading to a lot of extra work and a high error sensitivity. Home Care Rotterdam selected Quintiq after a thorough orientation on available solutions. Part of this orientation was a visit to Vivent Home Care, where the Quintiq solution is already being deployed. “Our main reason for choosing Quintiq was the high flexibility of the solution”, says Langenberg. “As the solution is easily adaptable, it was easy to tailor it to our needs and demands. In addition, Quintiq was able to provide continuity as a supplier. Moreover, the Quintiq implementation approach fitted our ideas on implementation best. These three reasons were key in our choice for Quintiq.”

Quintiq and Home Care Rotterdam expect the software to be operational in the eight home care centers of Home Care Rotterdam in March/April 2006.
