Alcoa European Mill Products UK Increases Efficiency with Quintiq

's-Hertogenbosch, October 5, 2006 – Quintiq today announced that Alcoa European Mill Products in Birmingham, United Kingdom is live with the Quintiq advanced planning software, adding significant benefits.

One of the project aims was to improve the throughput of the soaking pit and hot mill facilities by a target of 2%. Since the project’s commencement in January 2006, the improvements in the soaking pit (4%) and hot mill (2%) efficiency have been achieved.
