Capgemini Integrates SAP and Quintiq Planning Software for Logistics Companies

Optimal information delivery for streamlined planning

's-Hertogenbosch, October 2, 2006 – IT Service Provider Capgemini Nederland B.V. has integrated the Quintiq planning software with its SAP solution for logistics service providers, thus enabling customers in the transport sector to leverage their automation. With the SAP software they are able to secure a basis for optimal information delivery. The Quintiq solution uses these data to create an optimal planning of people, freight and resources.

According to Frank Wammes, Managing Consultant at Capgemini, there’s a strong demand for integrated solutions for information delivery and planning in the logistics market. “We meet this demand by integrating the Quintiq planning suite into our logistics solution, which is based on the SAP for Logistics Service Providers portfolio. This combination of solutions is especially suitable for small and medium enterprises because of its efficient method of implementation.”

Cagemini and SAP extended their worldwide cooperation in 2005, leading to a new end-to-end solution for the logistics market. For this solution, SAP delivered the software platform and Capgemini provided the market expertise and implementation skills. The combined solution offers customers savings on implementation time and integration, resulting in less cost.
