Quintiq Achieves MSC Malaysia Status
's-Hertogenbosch, September 26, 2006 – Quintiq announced today that they have become a member of the MSC Malaysia Status initiative. The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) initiative is conceptualized in 1996 and takes care of the concerns of the information and communication technology (ICT) industry in Malaysia. The MSC Malaysia status is awarded to both local and foreign companies that develop or use multimedia technologies to produce or enhance their products and services and for process development. Nowadays, more than 1300 companies have earned that status among which companies like Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Intel.
Quintiq fulfilled all six relevant criteria to be eligible for membership, amongst them employing a substantial number of local professionals as well as active knowledge transfer within the MSC economy initiatives. The goal of the Multimedia Super Corridor is to attract leading ICT companies of the world to undertake research, develop new products and technologies and stimulate the use of the MSC facilities to globally test its applications. Furthermore, the MSC Malaysia welcomes countries to use its highly advanced infrastructural facilities as a global testbed for ICT applications and a hub for their regional operations in Asia.
