SOL Group Signs Pan European Contract with Quintiq for Quintiq Logistics Planner

's-Hertogenbosch/Milan, January 23, 2006 – The Italian SOL Group has signed a contract with software supplier Quintiq for the delivery and implementation of the Quintiq Logistics Planner, a state-of-the-art planning platform for the support of a variety of logistics activities.

SOL Group, which produces medical and industrial gases, will use the Quintiq solution for both tactical and operational planning. The company chose the Quintiq Logistics Planner because the solution is able to combine requirements from production, inventory and logistics in one integrated planning platform.

SOL Group’s tactical planning capabilities will be supported by the Quintiq solution, allowing the optimal allocation of customer orders to the distribution centers. In the same real-time environment, the operational planning will be integrated, supporting the local planners in the generation of optimal trips and deliveries.

Accenture Italy, together with Quintiq, will start implementing the solution in January 2006. In the first phase of the project the solution will be developed and rolled out in Italy. The next phases in the Pan-European rollout are planned for the second half of 2006.
