Quintiq – a new associate member for CANSO
’s-Hertogenbosch – March 20, 2007 - CANSO, the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization, is delighted to announce that Quintiq has joined the organization as a new associate member.
Quintiq offers software solutions to planning, scheduling and supply chain optimization issues and its ATM applications cover operational staff planning. DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH will use the Quintiq solution for the daily, monthly and yearly planning of operational staff and will be able to deploy staff more efficiently with real-time insight into daily schedules delivered by the Quintiq software.
“Developing more cost-effective and efficient operational management systems is at the heart of CANSO’s key objective to improve ANS performance,” says CANSO secretary General Alexander ter Kuile. “I am delighted that Quintiq has joined our global ATM community, where we share best practices among all members to deliver further efficiency improvements into the global ATM system.”
“I am very pleased to be part of the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization and look forward to a very fruitful cooperation,” says René Vaanhold, Director Workforce Optimization at Quintiq. “In many parts of the world the ANSP industry faces a shortage of air traffic controllers.
