Rivas Care Group selects Quintiq’s Home Care Planner to optimize employee planning
’s-Hertogenbosch, Gorinchem, April 11, 2008 – The Rivas Care Group in Gorinchem, The Netherlands has selected Quintiq to supply a new employee planning system for its home care services. This choice was based on an extensive selection process. ICT service provider DataBalk will implement the Quintiq Home Care Planning system at Rivas. In addition Elmo ICT will provide mobile communication technology and expertise.
The Rivas Care Group provides hospital and home care and social services in parts of the Dutch provinces Zuid-Holland, Brabant, Gelderland and Utrecht. In order to improve the planning of approximately 1.000 home care employees Rivas started a selection process for a new planning system. Quintiq was selected from twelve potential suppliers. In addition to Quintiq’s extensive experience in the home care market, the broad deployment capabilities of the Quintiq solution played an important role. The solution is for example also able to support other planning issues within the Rivas Care group.
The Rivas Care group is the sixth organization to deploy Quintiq’s Home Care Planning system for extramural employee planning. Earlier, Care Group Omring, Vivent, Home Care Rotterdam, Home Care Westelijke Mijnstreek (Orbis Home Care) en Proteion Home Care Noord-Limburg selected the system.
By implementing Quintiq’s Home Care Planning system the Rivas Home Care Group wants to improve the productivity of its staff. In addition Rivas aims for higher customer satisfaction as well as better deployment of specific skills. Also, the organization is better capable of managing its activities based on critical performance indicators.
When creating a home care employee planning, various variables play a role: ever changing client demands, a large group of employees with different competences and labor contracts as well as a variety of regulations on working hours. All these variables have an impact on the corporate goals, which includes improving customer and employee satisfaction as well as boosting productivity. By deploying the Quintiq solution, all these variables can be taken into account when creating a planning. Built-in intelligence ensures that all variables are taken into account. Besides that, it also calculates the consequences of a disruption for the planning as a whole. This leads to maximum flexibility for the complex planning process.
Quintiq partner DataBalk has the lead in implementing the solution. Elmo ICT supplies the PDA’s with which home care employees can communicate with the central system. They can receive assignments and sign these off electronically. The new solution is expected to be operational by the end of 2008.
