The Quintiq Solution for Waitrose

Biography - Helen Heighes, Manager Distribution Projects, Waitrose Ltd.

Helen is the project manager responsible for the implementation of the Quintiq system into the Waitrose supply chain.  The project is centralising Waitrose transport planning and scheduling for 4 regional distribution centres serving 183 branches with multi temperature daily deliveries.  Local transport operations will also be supported by Quintiq in the management of despatch, exception planning, drivers and yard management. Helen has worked for Waitrose for the last 10 years. As a professionally qualified Project Manager Helen has been responsible for a variety of change implementations at Waitrose. These include setting up and managing Waitrose inbound primary transport operations and project management of the opening of the company's newest multi temperature RDC in Aylesford, Kent.

Helen started her career as a graduate trainee with Hays Distribution where she carried out a number of roles focussing on transport planning.
