Quintiq Developer Training
Building a Quintiq Planning Application
During this hands-on training, participants will develop a basic Quintiq planning application and then enhance it by adding advanced features that will help planners improve their plans. During this session an instructor is present to give several short presentations, help participants in working their way through exercises and to answer any questions participants may have.

Prerequisites
Programming experience, knowledge of object orientation, general understanding of planning and scheduling
Duration of Training
4 days
Included in these 4 days is the Quintiq Overview training (1 day).
Training overview
Day one – Quintiq Overview
Topics from the training 'Quintiq Overview Training' are presented. Please refer to the Quintiq Overview Training section for additional information.
Day two – Building a basic planning application
Participants will develop a simple scheduling application. Topics are:
- Business modeling, including objects, relations and attributes
- Declarative and procedural logic, such as functions, tables and table functions, constraints and methods
- Visualization, or creating a GUI which includes special elements such as highlighting and translations
Days three and four – Improving the planning application
The application will be extended and improved. Topics to be addressed include:
- Database connection for importing data from an ERP system
- Advanced visualization, or creating a GUI which includes special elements such as highlighting and translations
- Assigning calendars to resources
- Reporting using the report tool
During the training, participants will work individually on exercises with instructions for building a Quintiq planning application.
