Training Overview
After a quick look at the Quintiq vision on planning and scheduling, participants are introduced to the Metal Scheduler Industry Solution. Topics include:
- Overview of the vision of Quintiq on planning and scheduling, and the product positioning of Metal Scheduler
- Product demos: a number of Scheduler examples will be demonstrated to highlight the functionality and diversity of Scheduler
- Be a planner, in which the participants will make an attempt at producing a good schedule themselves
- Key concepts of Metal Scheduler.
- Introduction to the object model: an explanation of the basic Metal Scheduler object model
- Defining KPI’s using the new object model knowledge of the previous topic
- Create a hot mill Scheduler, in which participants will model their own hot mill Scheduler with the Industry Solution from scratch into a working Scheduler system within hours.
