An Introduction to Creating an Optimized Planning Solution

The Quintiq Overview training session introduces the vision behind the Quintiq Application Suite and describes how Quintiq addresses a customer's planning and scheduling issues. Participants will also get hands-on experience with a Quintiq planning application.

Users of Quintiq and anyone involved in Quintiq projects (key users, developers, business consultants, project managers, administrators)

Prerequisites
A general understanding of planning and scheduling

Most training participants follow the Quintiq Overview training in combination with other sessions, such as the Developer training or the Business Consultants training.

Training overview

Morning session – A focus on planning
What are the challenges of complex planning and how does a Quintiq application address these challenges? These and other questions will be answered in this morning session. The topics are:

• The Quintiq Vision on Advanced Planning and Scheduling
• Working with a Quintiq Planning Application
   

Afternoon session – A focus on the Quintiq solution
In the afternoon, the participants will get a better understanding of the solution that Quintiq offers and how this solution is developed for a customer by addressing:

• The Concepts and Technology of the Quintiq Solution
• The Process of Delivering a Quintiq Application
  
  

During the exercises that are included in this training, trainees will use a Quintiq planning application to get an understanding of how its advanced capabilities help to solve planning problems in an optimal way.
