Quintiq, a Dassault Systèmes company, today announced that Rob van Egmond has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds former Quintiq CEO and co-founder Dr. Victor Allis who will remain in the organization to oversee the transformation of the company’s optimization capabilities. In his new role, he will be consulting with customers and working with Quintiq teams around the world.

Rob van Egmond, 45 years old, joined Quintiq in 2002 and has served in various leadership roles. As chief technology officer, he spearheaded the company’s future technology vision, driving growth in cloud computing, optimization as a service and business analytics. While a technologist at heart, Rob van Egmond’s business acumen is well known. He achieved many milestones for Quintiq, including closing major deals and building what became one of the company’s best performing business units.

“I’m extremely proud of Rob’s achievements. In recent years, he has been my right hand in many important tasks. I couldn’t wish for anyone better to take over the reins of Quintiq. An exceptional leader and technologist, he’s passionate about our mission, committed to our values and knows how to build a successful business,” said Dr. Allis. “I look forward to remaining actively engaged with Quintiq and focusing all my energy on my greatest passion ― optimization ― while supporting Rob in his new role as CEO.”

“The opportunities that lie ahead for Quintiq are enormous and I am honored to be given the privilege to lead us into our next phase of innovation and growth,” said Rob van Egmond. “With the support of the new Quintiq board and our employees, I couldn’t be more confident of our ability to realize our mission of becoming the number one supply chain planning and optimization company in the world.”

The speed of change in the supply chain planning industry is exponential. Under Rob’s leadership, Quintiq will strengthen the capabilities that have made it successful in the past and launch advancements that will place it in a pivotal position to capitalize on opportunities in the market. It will inspire, engage and bring to its partners and customers a transformative approach to supply chain planning and optimization that will enable them to win big in a fast-paced, disruptive and unpredictable world.
