Quintiq announces new director for Latin America

São Paulo, Brazil
Quintiq, a Dassault Systèmes company and global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), announced today that Rodrigo Baptista has assumed the role of Business Unit Director for Latin America. In this role, he will be responsible for directing Quintiq’s performance in Latin America. He succeeds Camilo Gaviria, who will be addressing new challenges at Quintiq’s headquarters in Europe.

Baptista said: "Quintiq's software enables customers to take a transformative approach to supply chain planning and optimization, enabling them to significantly improve their operations in a fast-paced, disruptive and unpredictable world.”

A strong advocate for technology-supported optimization, Baptista added that the planning of production processes, resource allocation and logistics can no longer rely on manual methods or spreadsheets. Most companies – still planning processes in isolation and ignoring sequencing and propagation effects – are experiencing suboptimal outcomes. There is a great need in the region to address these planning issues with a robust solution that offers end-to-end visibility and respects the characteristics of each organization.

Many of the world's most successful companies have transformed their processes with Quintiq. In all cases, the key to mastering complexity and meeting business goals lies in a software that models every detail of the operations in the supply chain, thus optimizing processes and giving companies complete control of their business.
